[Work] In the first 6 months of the year, Vietnamese enterprises exported 557 million medical masks

According to the General Department of Customs, by the end of June 2020, Vietnam has successfully exported 557 million medical masks to the US, EU, Japan, and South Korea markets.

In June alone, there were about 100 enterprises exporting medical masks of all kinds with the quantity of 236.12 million units, up 30% compared to May, including enterprises: Samaki Power Joint Stock Company, the Company. Nano France High-tech DP Production Limited – Ha Nam Branch, Tan Dai Hung Plastic Joint Stock Company, Amimexco Joint Stock Company, HLPC Garment Import Export Joint Stock Company, Convenience Furniture Joint Stock Company, Tanaphar Joint Stock Company, Company Gico Medical Joint Stock Company, Baro Viet Co., Ltd., Samvina Trading Company Limited, Danameco Medical Corporation, Phi Phi Trading Co., Ltd….

After applying for a license to export medical masks to serve the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic, the export of medical masks has resumed normal operations from the end of April 2020 according to Resolution No. No. 60/NQ-CP dated April 29, 2020 of the Government.

In addition to ensuring the supply of medical masks in the country and for the normal export of medical masks, the Government has also assigned the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Industry and Trade to regularly update and publicize information about businesses. enterprises capable of producing masks for export, and the Ministry of Finance, publicize the list and number of medical masks that enterprises have exported…

Accordingly, the Ministry of Industry and Trade regularly updates information on the demand for masks by the governments of other countries and medical equipment for export enterprises to monitor. The Ministry of Industry and Trade also regularly inspects, prevents and strictly handles establishments that have the phenomenon of unreasonable increase in selling prices of raw materials for mask production, speculation in mask hoarding and inappropriate production of medical masks standard.

To comply with the provisions of Point 3 of Resolution No. 60/NQ-CP, the General Department of Customs shall publicize the list of enterprises and the quantity of exported medical masks.

This information is published periodically once a month in the 2nd week of the following month (for the previous month’s data) until the Government announces the end of the Covid-19 pandemic in Vietnam.
